What an amazing place! If you haven't been to Turkey, now's your opportunity. In fact, I'm going back for a second trip, this time to visit Eastern Turkey. We start in exotic Istanbul, full of the past but very much a European city in every other way. You'll be woken by the Call to Prayer from your hotel room on the first morning and it's only then that it hits you: you're in Turkey where the East meets the West.
After seeing some of the sights in Istanbul (we return here for a few more days at the end of the trip), we skirt around the top of Turkey, down the Eastern border and back across the bottom, ending up near where the accompanying photographs were taken - Urfa and Mt Nemrut. I found some great shots last time and I just know there are more in these locations still!
There are two links you might be interested in: The first link will take you to an article I wrote about my first trip, just to give you an idea of what you can expect and the photos you might get. In fact, except for the opening photo, all the shots were taken by the photographers on the tour. Click here. The second link will download a .pdf brochure with all the information and contact details you require. This is a great chance to see an amazing country and pick my brains as well. Of course, one wonders if I have anything worth picking, but that's another story. Click here for the brochure.
