Step beyond the familiar and Into the Wild, where a collection of 54 curated works by 30 photographers from Australia and New Zealand explores the surprising, the powerful and the unpredictable.
Presented over five days, this exhibition brings together a diverse mix of emerging and established photographers. For the first time, a collective from New Zealand will showcase exciting and innovative techniques that bring new meaning to creative landscape photography.
Held at M2 Gallery in Surry Hills, Sydney, the exhibition explores the idea of “wild” through a wide range of perspectives, from raw natural landscapes and powerful ocean scenes to intimate human moments, urban environments, and exciting, new conceptual work.
Alongside the exhibition, a series of free ticketed events offers an interactive way to experience Into The Wild. Preview Night for photographers and collectors to view the gallery before the doors open, will be officially launched by Peter Eastway. On Sunday afternoon during the exhibition, Meet the Photographers offers an immersive opportunity to hear directly from nine exhibiting artists as they share the stories and processes behind their work. For photographers or anyone seeking inspiration, come along and gain insight into creative photography approaches such as black and white infrared, intentional camera movement, long exposure, and new innovative approaches to landscape photography.
