Join Eastway & Portelli in the Falklands - December 2024
King Penguins at Sunset, Falkland Islands. Photo by Scott Portelli. The Falkland Islands are usually the first or the last stop on the South Georgia / Antarctica circuit. Stays are usually only two or three days at best, yet there is so much to see and photograph that I've always felt a little short changed, especially if you're an avid wildlife photographer. With this in mind, Scott has invited me to lead a small group of five photographers on a two week exploration of the Falklands and its...
An ND5 Voyage on True North II
Video still from Michael Fletcher's Youtube video featuring True North II See it on Youtube here:https://youtu.be/LGmj6VTxzq4?si=Bqx43h4uQJ0HZGMe Many readers may remember ND5 - Ninety Degrees Five, a collaboration between Les Walking, Tony Hewitt, Christian Fletcher, Michael Fletcher and me. We've been a little quiet for the last few years, but our website (www.nd5.com.au) is still active and we're still active - just we haven't been doing a lot together. And Covid got in the way of our last...
The Tree Near Tolkien Rock
Tree in flooded Awatere River, Middlehurst, NZDJI Mavic Pro 2, f2.8 @ 1/120 second, ISO 100 As we continue to spend time on our passion, it surprises me how often you can find a new way of doing something - like photography. Sometimes it's just a change of attitude or perhaps being influenced by another artist or photographer. It can also be a change or development in technology and there's no doubt AI is really going to move things along (especially with Adobe's new Structure Reference...
Myth - Bhutan
Myth | Bhutan
The Bhutan Trilogy - Life, Ritual, Myth - are three bodies of work compiled over a decade of visiting the remote Kingdom of Bhutan.
In addition to all the care taken in the capture and production, only the highest quality inks, papers and binding materials are used.
Each photograph reproduced in the book is a fine art print, precisely produced with custom ICC profiles using pigment inks on archival cotton-rag paper. The reproduction quality is the equivalent of an exhibition print. The pages are then hand-bound and covered, producing a large-format bespoke book to order. It’s something you can’t rush - it takes Momento Pro skilled craftsmen a good six weeks to prepare each volume.
The hard cover book is 400x400mm square, comprising 98 pages and approximately 50 photographs.
Myth | Bhutan is available in a limited edition of 45 books. Each book is individually numbered and signed. It comes in a custom designed and produced clam-shell case to protect your investment and we can ship to all corners of the globe.
